The clinic provides a comprehensive diabetes service which includes the following; 1) On-site glucose & HbA1c measurements 2) On-site measurement of urine microalbumin 3) Diabetes foot-screening 4) Management of all types of diabetes and complications 5) Diabetes Nurse Educator counseling Thyroid The clinic provides a comprehensive thyroid service which includes the following: 1) Thyroid ultrasound 2) Ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration of thyroid nodules 3) Ultrasound guided ethanol injection of cystic thyroid nodules 4) Diagnosis and management of all thyroid disorders Obesity The clinic provides a comprehensive obesity service which includes the following; 1) Exclusion of secondary causes of obesity 2) Review and management of related medical conditions 3) Help with exercise and diet planning 4) Pharmacological management of obesity 5) Referral for bariatric surgery if indicated Pituitary, Adrenal and other hormonal evaluation The clinic provides the comprehensive hormonal evaluation of the pituitary, adrenal and other glands including dynamic hormonal tests 1) Evaluation of pituitary adenomas 2) Low and high dose syacthen testing 3) Screening for phaeochromocytoma, Conn’s syndrome 4) Tests for insulinoma Erectile dysfunction and testosterone deficiency The clinic provides the following services for management of erectile dysfunction and testosterone deficiency 1) pharmaceutical management of erectile dysfunction 2) testosterone injections The clinic will also diagnose and manage all other endocrine and metabolic disorders including: 1) Lipid disorders 2) Osteoporosis and calcium disorders 3) Polycystic ovarian syndrome Diabetic Society of Singapore

In 1998, I was awarded the HMDP fellowship award by the Singapore Ministry of Health for further training in endocrinology at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. During my fellowship, I was won the Knoll Thyroid Award at the 1999 meeting of the American Endocrine Society for outstanding research in the thyroid field. I was also awarded an American Thyroid Association travel grant as well as a Singapore National Medical Research Council research fellowship award in the same year. In 2005, I received a service quality award from the Singapore General Hospital and a distinguished reviewer award from the Singapore Medical Association.
